Dear subscribers,
How did you like Thursday’s Live Zoom with Len Grant?
If you missed it, links to the recording viewable on Substack or the Zoom cloud are at the bottom of this post.
I really enjoyed the conversation with Grant. He talked about his professional journey from photography to urban sketching, the evolution of his drawing style and how he funds and markets his self-published books.
He also shared interesting details about his urban sketching practice, from tips to break the ice when drawing strangers to the type of sketchbook and pens he is currently using. Grant explained that he digitized his handwriting and turned it into a font that he uses in his books. I can’t wait to try that now!
I missed recording a minute or two at the very beginning of the live-stream when I was introducing him, but I thankfully pressed record as soon as he started talking.
This was a very inspiring conversation. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did.
